The Managing Director of the United Bank for Africa in Sierra Leone (UBA-SL), last Saturday 11th November 2023 was unanimously voted for by members of Klymax Club as its Chairman of the Klymax Breed Foundation (KBF) during the club’s first annual general meeting at the Fourah Bay College Multi-Purpose Hall on Mount Aureol in Freetown.

Speaking during his short acceptance speech at the multi-purpose Hall on the FBC campus, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura thanked members of the club both and abroad for instilling in him their confidence and belief in moving their revered club’s foundation to an enviable position thus expressing happiness and joy over his win but called on every member to come on board to give their support and commitment towards the growth of the club and its foundation for the betterment of the country.

‘’Indeed it’s an honour.  I am happy. Today, I stand before you deeply honoured as your chairman. I want to assure you all that your decision to appoint me as your chairman is well and thoughtful and I will serve this foundation to the best of my ability and will take the foundation to a higher height,’’ he assured, while adding that under his tenure he will make the Foundation an enviable entity in the country and beyond.

He added that Klymax Club has started a new journey from just a club to a full fledge foundation thus underscoring the importance of member’s commitment, support and love for the club for its functionality and progress thus urging every member to give their time, money and energy.

 ‘’Today, we have started a journey moving from Klymax club to Klymax Foundation and for that, I want to recognize work by Dons like Chairman Don Daniel Bunting Johnny who has been given an emeritus status for his hard work and sacrifice towards the club. I want also to thank the outgoing executive for their hard work. As we transition into a foundation, we need to recognize the work and responsibility and I want to urge everyone to show commitment to the club. What we are doing today is maintaining the keep the legacy of the club alive. That Klymax continues to live on,’’ the newly elected chairman added.

The newly elected chairman went on to say that their club’s 30th anniversary will be marked with lots of celebrations and programmes whilst assuring all members that the club’s foundation is on a path to an enviable position for all clubs in Sierra Leone.

 ‘’I have shared my manifesto with you all; please take your time to read it.  It shows my commitment. Please hold me responsible for those commitments.  Don’t fail to call me out if I step out of the way. I believe all of us will make the Klymax Club an enviable foundation,’’ Samura added.
