Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kamara and Mrs. Hawa Bah, the wives of the All People’s Congress party’s (APC) 2023 Presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara and Running Mate, Hon. Chernor Bah respectively, embarked on a ‘home-coming’ tour over the weekend in the South and East Regions of Sierra Leone. They were accompanied by a cross section of the Executive Members of the APC National Women’s Congress including the president Mrs. Mariama Lowe-Bangura.
During the tour, both Mrs. Kamara and Mrs. Bah courteously preached and shared messages of unity, peace, change, hope and resilience to their fellow indigenes and supporters of the APC.
While in Pujehun, the birth home of Mrs. Kamara and in Kenema where Mrs. Bah hails from, they individually thanked supporters of the APC, especially women leaders across these districts for their support to the party over the years; and officially shared with their indigenes, the good news of their husbands being the National Leader and Presidential Candidate; and the Deputy National Leader and Running Mate of the APC party respectively.
Confidently, they assured the people of Pujehun and Kenema that Dr. Samura Kamara is poised to lead the party to victory in the upcoming elections. Both wives further asked the people of Pujehun and Kenema to be a part of the formidable team that is committed to ensuring a win for the APC in the 2023 election.
They affirmed that with Dr. Samura Kamara as the next president, every Sierra Leonean is guaranteed a better Sierra Leone.
Among other personalities who made statements during the course of the tour, was the APC National Women’s Congress President. She recognized and appreciated the tireless efforts of all women leaders and supporters of the APC in these districts. She also sympathized on behalf of the entourage with the people and supporters of the APC in Pujehun, who lost one of their sons and APC’s councillor aspirant in a gruesome road accident.
The tour coincided with the burial of the late aspirant, which both Mrs. Kamara and Mrs. Bah together with their entire entourage attended.
Mrs. Mabinty Mansaray, the wife of the APC’s National Chairman, Mr. Minkailu Mansaray, gave the vote of thanks in Pujehun and Kenema. In her thank you message, she reiterated the importance of why the people of Pujehun and Kenema should vote for the APC to win the forthcoming presidential election, by reminding them of the visible developments done by the APC under the presidency of Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, that include among others, standard road networks connecting both districts to the rest of the others and even neighbouring countries, which consequently makes it easy for business people to go about their activities.
She also added that a win for the APC will bring an added advantage to the people of both districts, as they will be able to pride themselves on having the first and second ladies of Sierra Leone come from their districts.
